Batas Organisation was initiated by Mr. Shree Ram Prasad Batas by dealing in merchandise and clothing. His sincere commitment and ethical business practices helped him expand the business from small town, Dulegaudha to the nearby city Pokhara.

The legacy of Mr. Batas was carried forward by the second generation namely: Ananda Raj Batas, Shanta Raj Batas, and Bipendra Raj Batas. They have widened the boundary of business. BATAS is now one of the best-known companies in Nepal with strong networking throughout the nation and is associated with various famous international partners.

Following the steps and ethics of conscientious father, current chairman, Mr. Ananda Raj Batas stepped into the business sector by opening a Convenience store in the small town of most famous tourist destined in Pokhara City.

Because of strong entrepreneurship skill, BATAS expanded its business by further opening Tanahun Imporium Fancy Shop and clothing store at Chipledhunga, Pokhara.

The business horizon was broadened by transferring the fancy and clothing shop from small town Chipledhunga to Prithvi Chowk and the facilities of photocopy and PCO Booth were also added.

In 1989, BATAS spread its existence in the hotel industry by inaugurating Hotel Ananda in order to satisfy the need and spread happiness to the national and foreign guest in affordable price.

Batas Brothers Pvt. Ltd and ASB Automobiles Pvt. Ltd was established in Pokhara to outspread the presence of Batas Organisation to automobile sector and in meantime became a regional dealer of various automobile brands serving a large number of nationals.

The company widened its financial service by opening the corporate office of Batas Investment Company at Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu serving around 15,000 customers in an easy, hassle-free and friendly way.

BATAS entered into the business of remittance solutions through Batas Associates Pvt. Ltd. specializes in the delivery of world-class money transfer services to families and friends around the globe as the principal agent of Himal Remit.

Eastern Agencies Pvt. Ltd. an enterprise of BATAS became associated with famous international partner Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) and became sole distributorship of Volvo Eicher in Nepal.

Nepal Wheels Pvt. Ltd. was inaugurated to provide an online platform for anyone who wants to Buy, Sell and Exchange any types of Vehicles for FREE of charge.

Persistence of becoming number one led the company to extend its presence in the market by becoming sole distributor of Fiat and Globatt battery in 2012.

Trithunga Trading Concern, an enterprise of BATAS became sole distributor of Malaysian product- Petronas lubricant.

Batas Tractors Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary company of Batas Organisation is authorized sales partner of Gainwell Commosales Pvt. Ltd. (GCPL) formally known as Tractors India Pvt. Ltd. (TIPL) committed to sell CAT earthmoving equipment and engines.

Mistakes are always forgivable if you dare to accept it.

BATAS Organisation has gone through many good and bad times, achieved success and faced the failures. Life is all about evolution,  what looks like  mistakes to  others  has  become milestone in the life of  BATAS Organisation. We took chances, made mistakes, that’s  how we grew. We learned that mistakes are  the portal of the growth. We built our  committed  empire  on the basis of t he lesson we  gained  from the  mistakes  we made.  Here are some of the mistakes we made. Hope you learn from it:

1. Lack of advance proper analysis of business and market:

We dealt with imported Chinese Automobiles, Korean Bikes, Chinese Tractors and Tyres. That was proud moment for us. But, unfortunately, manufacturer could not provide after sales service and spare parts. Customer wants and deserves to have their property maintained throughout the life time. Hence, because of incapability to meet the customers need we made huge monetary loss, defamation and credibility of the customers.

2. Investment during Economic Recession:

BATAS entered into the property investment business with long term vision. However, economic recession occurred at the same time that led to huge loss.

3. Failure to adopt systematic operating system while running some of our dropped Project.

4. Fast Business Expansion:

We expanded our business without timely verification and proper understanding of equity business partners

5. Wrong Financial Practice:

While dealing with Chinese Products, setting the market price created huge problem for us. There was high competition in automobile sector, so, it was hard to trigger into the market by setting real market price. Hence, we had to invoice under the marked price which definitely was our wrong practice.
We have learned many things from the above mentioned bitter experience. However, we do not regret the mistakes, we had made because these experience and lesson helped us to grow to broader horizon.
